San Diego 23, Redskins 20

The Washington Redskins lost to the San Diego Chargers today; 23 to 20 out in California today.

While we’re still waiting for the ratings to come in, we wish there had been a category for people who turned the game on, but watched paint dry instead.

Really, this was a completely meaningless game. The only thing at stake was the Redskins draft position; once the lowly Cleveland Browns has surpassed them, Washington secured the fifth overall selection by blowing yet another game late in the fourth quarter

Tomorrow is Black Monday in the NFL. While the scuttlebutt says head coach Jim Zorn will be fired tomorrow, we’re betting it was taken care of shortly after takeoff.

We’re on pins and needles for the Redskins announcement of the hiring of Mike Shanahan tomorrow. Will it be in the morning…or in the afternoon???

Washington is now on the coaching clock.
