When Brandon Morrow was coming up through the Seattle Mariners minor league system, he was touted as a power arm who had the ability to become the ace of a pitching staff. He started out as a relief pitcher for the Mariners, but never seemed to get it together. Seattle impatiently traded him to the Toronto Blue Jays, in return getting their current closer, Brandon League. A case could be made now that he is fulfilling that potential this season as he continued his run finishing off a complete game shutout, leading the Blue Jays past the Mets 2-0.
Morrow was domimant, reaching 95 mph on his fastball in the 9th inning and barely throwing more than 100 pitches for the game. The Mets never really got anything going, netting just a third inning single by Ronny Cedeno and a 7th inning double by Lucas Duda. The best chance the Mets had was in the 9th inning...

Yesterday’s Mets loss among worst seen in person
The Mets took a game on the chin yesterday, losing to the Blue Jays 14-5 in Toronto, where the final score made it seem closer than it really was thanks to Scott Hairston hitting a 3-run HR in the 8th inning. Starter Jonathon Niese looked as bad as I have ever seen him pitch. He was unable to located his curveball early, which resulted in him disregarding the pitch all together. For those of us who follow Niese, we know he cannot survive without the use of his curveball. (Two to catcher JP Arencibia, one to Rajai Davis and one to somebody named Yan Gomes.)
Offensively, it seemed the Mets may be able to score against LHP Ricky Romero, who was not his usual self. His command was off and the Mets were able to...

The Lady EE Show “Donna Summer, AIDS Walk, AGT with Howard Stern, Jennifer Lopez, OWN, Jobs, ‘Traces’ NYC & Local News”

The Lady EE Show 5/18/12
Welcome to The Lady EE Show! Bienvenidos! I have another week of news, along with salsa music & new songs on "Fresh Play". We lost another great artist this week, the Queen of Disco Ms. Donna Summer at the age of 63 years young to cancer. Starting off the show is one of Donna's classics "Hot Stuff" & closing the show with my favorite "Last Dance". AGT is hotter than ever with the big presence of Howard Stern driving the ratings through the roof! Kudos to Jennifer Lopez for making this year's Forbes magazine, you go Nuyorican!! While speaking of JLO, it's possible that she will not be on next seasons American Idol. There is lots more to discuss about Oprah, job fairs on "Career Corner", places to eat & visit in NYC in the segment of B.Y.O.B. Don't forget if you are in NYC on Sunday May 20th, join us at the...
